Dear Cruisin’ For a Cure Participants, Vendors and Donors:
It breaks my heart to have to cancel this year’s Cruisin’ For A Cure due to COVID-19. There is still so much that is unknown, and the threat of another wave of cases in the fall made it much easier for me to know that we are doing the correct thing. Since most of us (including me) are 65+, out of an abundance of caution for each and every one of you and our team of doctors, nurses, phlebotomists and our community, we do not feel we can proceed this year until we know that everyone will be safe. This may include modifications that need to be in place at the OC Fair & Event Center, including the new laws that are and will be in effect regarding COVID-19, such as safe social distancing, disinfectants and supplies for the fairgrounds. This affects even our doctors that provide the FREE prostate cancer screening because many of the supplies necessary for the event such as gloves, masks, disinfectant wipes, etc. may continue to be limited as they are vital supplies for frontline hospitals and workers.
Thank you very much for your understanding during this difficult time. I am grateful for all of your continued support. Please mark your calendars for September 25, 2021 and we will be back bigger and better for our 22nd Cruisin’ For A Cure. Flyers, etc. will be forthcoming.
For those that have already registered, you can call Debbie to roll over your registration/deposit for next year or request a refund.
